BET Honors 2015 Brings Out Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and Usher [PHOTOS]
This Saturday, DC welcomed Hollywood’s most notable black celebrities for the 2015 BET Honors.
The star studded affair was hosted by comedian Wayne Brady at the historic Warner Theatre. Honorees include actress Phylicia Rashad, rapper Kanye West, singer Usher, Microsoft Chairman John W. Thompson and the Director of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African Art,Dr. Johnetta B. Cole.
Singer Trey Songz sung “Nice & Slow” as a tribute to Usher, right before R&B’s original bad boy Bobby Brown presented him his illustrious Musical Arts Award.
Rock-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash presented his protege Kanye with the Visionary Award. Reports suggest his speech was a bit confusing– that’s putting it nicely.

Best known as TV’s Clair Huxtable, Phylicia Rashad was honored the Award for Theatrical Arts.
Anthropologist, and former president of both Spelman and Bennett Colleges for women, Dr. Betsch Cole was honored with the Award for Education for her professional achievements.
“Business Titan,” John W. Thompson was presented the award for Technology and Business.
TheJasmineBrand.com reports, proceeds from the private sale of BET Honors 2015 will benefit the National Cares Mentoring Program, an organization that helps transform the lives of Black children by inspiring, recruiting, and mobilizingmasses of caring Black men and women to mentor and nourish, challenge and champion them.
BET HONORS 2015 will air Monday, February 23, 2015 a at 9 pm ET.
