MC Hammer and Jay-Z.

Uh oh! Hov pissed off The King… of parachute pants. MC Hammer took offense to a Jay-Z lyric on Kanye’s song “So Appalled.”

Jay-Z’s lyrics: “…and Hammer went broke, so you know I’m more focused. I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30. ‘Cause unlike Hammer, 30 million can’t hurt me.” 

Well, Hammer followed through with his threat to release the diss track. The opening scene of the music video is a guy in a Yankees fitted behind flames. This represents him burning Jay-Z, or “Hell Boy” as he’s been calling the New York rapper. At this point, we just have to pray and ask, “Hammer, Please don’t hurt ’em.” I’m not too worried, though. Not only does Hammer not cuss at all in the song, but he takes a page from the New Testament and plays Saint John to baptize Jay-Z. Oh, brother….

“Nah nah, I don’t rock your wear. Your shoes: I don’t need a darn pair.”
