Daley talks First Thanksgiving, Day & Nights, Songwriting and Style [VIDEO]
Last night, Gypsy Soul Entertainment brought UK R&B singer Daley performed at Baltimore’s Rams Head Live. He performed classics from his two independently released mixtapes “Those Who Wait” (2012) and “Songs that Remind Me Of You” (2013) as well, of course, his singles from debut album “Days & Nights.”
Following the show, I had the chance to sit with him and discuss the Daley sound, his personal style (that signature haircut) and his favorite part of the holidays.
Here’s more background on Daley
The 25-year-old singer/songwriter is originally from Manchester, United Kingdom. He claims Prince and soul music from the 60’s as his greatest musical influences. In November 2010, Daley’s feature on the Gorillaz track”Doncamatic” served as his big break, as he had been traveling and performing independently for years. Shortly thereafter, he signed a joint record deal with Universal Republic Records and Polydor. Daley has also worked with industry mainstays like Jessie J on single “Remember Me,” and “Alone Together,” featuring fellow Brit Marsha Ambrosius. Currently Daley is on the East Coast leg of his Unplugged tour, which will end December 9th in London.
