This Monday, British songstress Estelle graced DC with an intimate performance at The Howard Theatre.  She allowed us an exclusive, live first listen to her upcoming album. “True Romance” is set to drop February 17, 2015, and serves as the artist’s fourth studio album and first since winning a Grammy in 2013 for hit single “Thank You.”

During a VIP pre-show party hosted by Majic 102.3′s Adimu Colon, I had the opportunity to talk with her briefly. The party was hosted at iChang, located at 639 Florida Ave, NW Washington, D.C.– right across from the Howard Theatre.

During our one-on-one we dished about one finding love within oneself before rushing into love, what it’s like to come back with a “happier” song after a huge smash based on hurt and what to expect on “True Romance.”
