Get On Up to The Social Group’s Social Fridays at Bar 7
Friday. The day of the week everyone lives for. Your grind takes a backseat to all the parties you plan to hit in a two-day span. Unless your grind includes being social, like the good fellas of The Social Group.
Every Friday at Bar 7, one of DC’s best kept secrets, The Social Hour offers a new take on Happy Hour. An open buffet and $5 top shelf drink specials paired with the city’s most attractive young professionals and a great mix of 90’s and new school music are details unrivaled by any other local venue.
Each week the group presents a different theme to enhance your happy hour experience, and this week was the blogger edition. Myself, and three other beautiful lady bloggers were invited to steer the fun and energetic vibe of The Social Hour.
To kick things up a notch, I hosted a massive giveaway courtesy of my partners at Allied –THA — a marketing firm specializing in film and television. I had t-shirts and 10 passes to see Think Like a Man Too, 10 to see Jersey Boys and 10 to see Edge of tomorrow, as well as matching Edge of Tomorrow crop tanks.
Get On Up, the new James Brown bio pic set to release August 1, 2014, was the star of the evening. Everyone received a towel and hand fan– my new Instagram followers also go Get On Up earbuds! Perfect for the private viewing of the free Black Coffee and Delivery Man DVD’s. I’d like to think I made quite a few people happy with free sway, and showing love is always a good way to #besocial.
