SXSW Beauty Product Suggestions

South By Southwest (SXSW) is a mega festival and conference focused around film and music. This festival and conference is jammed packed with exciting and exhilarating events. It’s only natural you want your makeup to last as long as the fun. With little time between each event, you won’t have time to beat your face to the GAWDS to always remain camera ready. Use these product suggestions below to not only look your best but, to maintain it for 8+ hours of wear.

 Brows

Brows frame your face, period. The last thing you need happening at SXSW is wiping some sweat off of your face and taking your brows off with them.  Complexion

Since you will be out in the sun alot during SXSW, I suggest a great BB cream as your base. BB creams, or beauty balms, are designed as a five in one product that brightens, protects, hydrates, mattifies, and evens your skin. So not only do BB creams even your complexion but, it also has SPF to protect your gorgeous skin. Like really, who needs wrinkles and sun spots later in life? An added bonus of using a BB cream is you are wearing less products on your face since most BB creams can double as a moisturizer as well. I suggest using Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream. It wears amazingly well and with its wide color range there’s definitely a shade for you. If you’re on a budget no worries I have an affordable BB cream for you as well. Garnier BB cream is a great alternative. This BB cream comes in three shades that can blend and match with most complexions.

Pro Tip:

Using a powder SPF on top of these BB creams will not only set your makeup but, also continue to protect your skin from the sun’s rays. My favorite is Peter Thomas Roth Anti- Aging Instant Mineral SPF 30.

 Lips

I’m sure most of you will be partaking in day drinking during SXSW (Remember the legal drinking age is 21 years old). Throughout all the fun and excitement during the day, the last thing you will want to do is keep reapplying your pout. I suggest Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick.
