Jack’n for Beats Mobile Talent Competition Hits DC [PHOTOS]
Jack’N for Beats, the national hip-hop competition presented by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, launched in D.C. with a special event featuring hip-hop/R&B recording artist, Ty Dolla $ign.
In four years of existence, the originally Chicago-based contest has expanded to travel the country from L.A. to Philly in search of the hottest new unsigned Hip-Hop artists. A mobile studio is where aspiring artists can record their best 16 bars for a chance to win $10,000 and studio time with We The Best Music’s own DJ Khaled.
The studio will travel through the DMV area for six weeks, offering rappers ages 21+ an opportunity to submit an entry in person. The contest is also hosted online at www.JackNforBeats.com, where artists 21+ can view the official rules and upcoming scheduled stops.
Last night Blind Whino hosted the DC launch and the open bar, DJ B Man and Atlantic Records Hip-Hop / R&B artist Ty Dolla $ign had the crowd lit! The mobile Jack Daniels Jack’n for Beats studio was parked in front of the venue where onlookers could watch artists audition live, whereas inside there was a full blown party in the art gallery complete with two Jack Daniels bars.
