Jamie Foxx Hosts DC Listening Party for ‘Hollywood’ [PHOTOS]
Hennessy and DTLR teamed up to host the 2-time Grammy Award-winning singer at the swanky POV Rooftop lounge at W Hotel in downtown DC. The break-taking view of the Washington Monument and Lincoln memorial was a nice backdrop for the affair, which also featured hors d’ouevres and complimentary Hennessy cocktails like the “Foxxy Lady” and my personal favorite “Sour Foxx.”
Jamie Foxx was presented to the crowd by DTLR’s radio personalities DJ Quicksilva and Tiara LaNiece. Immediately he came out cracking jokes, telling us the story of how he transitioned from comedy to music. He talked about the first time he met Kanye West, and quickly learned his meticulous personality while recording “Slow Jamz.” (2006) Despite a little dysfunction, Jamie Foxx hopped on his Yamaha keyboard and played us a stripped down version of the tune.
He also talked about his current single, “You Changed Me” featuring Chris Brown, mentioning how ironic it is that he recently learned of his 10-month-old baby girl after recording a song like that. Check it out here.
“Hollywood” hits stores May 16th. Pre-order today on iTunes.
