R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan decided just to quit the music industry for the time being. She didn’t go into too much detail as to why other than she needs to “find” herself. Her statement is below:

“I’m making an official announce that I am taking a break from music. I’m trying to figure out who I am…w/o a mike, paper or pen. I promised myself when it wasn’t fun anymore, I wouldn’t do it. And here I am. I’m not saying I won’t ever sing again in my life becuz I don’t believe that. But in this moment…rt now…I got some things to figure out. I love u all and appreciate you soooo much.
You have no idea how much you’ve inspired me and fed my ego. But the truth is that I have to believe in me whether you all do or not. And that’s what I’m lookin’ for. That believe in myself. Me. I love us. Thanks for being here for me and riding with me on this journey. Let us continue.”

I’m pretty sure she isn’t gone for good. She’s far too talented. She just needs the right team behind her to help her make the music she wants to make. We support you, girl!
