If you ever watched E! network’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians in the early days, you’d know that Kanye West had been sniffing around Kim Kardashian for years! Well when she got married to Kris Humphries (which crashed and burned within 72 days) it crushed the outspoken rapper.

Well, the pop culture icon (because we don’t know what she really does) told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that she went back for Kanye 6 months after being newly single. She said she had anticipated that Kanye would’ve called her first to say “I told you so,” but he didn’t. So she put on her big girl panties and went to go get her man.

I called [Kanye] because I’m sure it was really hurtful that I got married and, even though it’s not like we communicated all the time, I knew what he was thinking. So I thought he was going to call me as soon as he knew that I was single again. He didn’t, and so I called him and I said, ‘Hello? I thought you were at least going to call me and ‘I told you so,’ something?’ And then—he’s always been a good friend to me, like, we’ve always been there for each other—then he invited me to a fashion show of his in Paris and I went, and then the magic happened. – Kim Kardashian

Kimye is coming up on their 1-year anniversary very soon, so it’s kind of cool to gain this insight into their relationship. Kim also shared that Kanye encouraged her to pursue her video game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which was the best decision of her life.
