“Bad Bad News” by Leon Bridges is a bop on its own, but it blew my mind to see how young this Soul brotha is performing such vintage vibes. He’s only 29, looks 19 and sings with the conviction of some who’s 69.

Many of his songs, like Grammy-nominated singles “Coming Home” or “River,” could fool you into believing they’re 1960’s Motown classics you missed on mama’s old records. The Fort Worth-based musician has landed placements with Apple and Saturday Night Live.
