So with summer right around the corner, there are going to be more parties and with most parties, you want to make sure you have plenty of drinks for your guests. If you are throwing a fancy shindig then you may spring for a bartender or “mixologist.” (I like the latter term, seems more modern).  Now, of course, we all have that one family member or friend who is a self-proclaimed bartender and brags about making the best drinks, but what if there was something that could do that for you minus the bragging?  Now there is… Somabar.

Your new favorite kitchen appliance

So you’ve got a blender, a Kuerig, microwave, and a toaster, but make room for Somabar.  Think about it, having a girls night in and you can make cocktails– or rather have them made for you right on your countertop! Oh, did I mention you can control the drink being made from an app? (C’mon you knew it had to be in there somewhere. ;-))

So how does it work?

The Somabar is WiFi connected.  You order your drink from the app, even customizing the alcohol content (so if you need a slightly stronger drink it can handle that request too).  It even lets you modify the bitters in the drink.

The Somabar uses Soma Pods that you can refill with liquor, and the drink is fully mixed before it’s dispensed.  Once your drink is made, it flushes the system with water so no need to worry about remnants of the previous drink in the next one.

Now the product isn’t available just yet, but you can pre-order the Somabar for $429.  It comes in six different colors (Blue, Orange, Red, Black, White w/wood, and White on White.)
