The Huffington Post asked college students this very question and the answers varied. Excuses for not voting include “I just want to graduate” and “I haven’t been paying attention to the news at all.”
Reasons for voting are impassioned, and my little cousin @BRITTersweeet_ encourages her peers to hit the polls because “You have to look at it from a collective perspective. And if we’re encouraging all young people to vote, then it really does have an impact and it really can change things. People need to realize that it’s not just about you, but you as an individual in society as a whole.”
