Must Have Apps to Help Make Valentine’s Day Special
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, you may still be wondering how you will plan the perfect day or surprise. Well it’s no wonder that with the hundreds of apps that are available, there are a few to help with that.
First up, Open Table
This app let’s you make dinner reservations on the go. You can look up restaurants by price range, the type of food you want to eat, or even narrow it down to what is close by. You can invite people to join you from within the app, as well as add the date to your calendar. This app will make picking the perfect dinner place a breeze.
Not feeling the dining out experience, wading through crowds and want something more intimate?
You can download InstaCart which allows you to have groceries delivered to you from stores like Whole Foods and Costco. Think Peapod by Giant but with more options. You can have the groceries in as little as an hour, so you can focus preparing a wonderfully romantic meal for that special someone.
Reliability
Send your special someone flowers or candy, or both. ProFlowers will let you browse through their beautiful floral arrangements where you can order right from inside the app. Send that lovely lady some flowers guys. Also, it let’s you track the delivery from order to the recipient, and shows you items you’ve sent before.
If she’s not necessarily into flowers, then may I suggest the chocolate covered strawberries from Shari’s Berris. You can send chocolate covered strawberries, cake pops or cookies, so you don’t have to go the traditional route, and you can still send something sweet.
Still Not Sure What to Plan?
If you completely are still on the fence or have no idea what to do with your special someone or if you want to just have fun, then you should check out the Gravy app. Now I know the name doesn’t exactly scream “romance” or “fun,” but stay with me. The app helps you come up with cool ideas for things to do based on your mood. Literally everything from a romantic date night to something to do with your kids. You can find out all kinds of local activities in your area, even at the last minute.
Greeting Card’s Still A Thing?
What’s a special occasion without a greeting card? Clearly you’re not going to fold your iPhone into a card and mail it to someone, and grabbing a greeting card from the store can be a task as well because it has to say just the right thing. And around Valentine’s Day that section looks like a disaster area.
Why not try the Red Stamp app? This app let’s you look through tons of customizable greeting cards, as well as Thank You notes. You have the option to snail-mail, tweet, text, or email them to someone. So if you want to step your game up past the kissy face or heart-eyes emojis in a text, or would rather spend your time somewhere other than the picked over Hallmark section in CVS, try out this app! Now unlike the other apps I’ve mentioned this one isn’t free but it’s only $.99 from the app store. Not to fret, these apps are also available in the Google Play store.
