DC native, rapper Pinky Killacorn, has set out to dominate the music industry one hairstyle and catchy track at a time. Currently, her single Cherry Bomb, produced by AB the Pro and inspired by the film based on rock duo The Runaways, is catching airtime on DC’s WPGC 95.5 FM, but she’s just getting started.

With fiery red hair and a warm & welcoming personality, there’s no surprise that her fan base continues to grow and the people want more. The self-proclaimed “Uptown Star,” is ready to make her heroes Erykah Badu, Scarface, Pimp C and Tupac proud with new music in the upcoming months. Stay on the lookout for “Tater Chips & Tron” produced by Aleem Bilal, better known as AB the Pro.

She credits her DC roots for her eclectic vibe and style. “I’m a mixture of different things. I’m a mixture of everything I’ve encountered,” says the rapper. She found her way to the art collective Hippie Life Krew after meeting local rapper Visto, where she feels more mature and supported. “It’s so different from what I used to do. So welcoming. It’s more positive and fun and loving,” she said.
