Whether it’s pride or shame, a lot of times we forget to reach out to our social networks in a time of need. I know sometimes I feel like everyone else has so much going on in life that they wouldn’t want to be “bothered” by my little issues. But the fact is, that’s simply not true. Your loved ones are people who have chosen to be in your life and typically welcome the chance to catch up with you and be there for you.
When moments of self-doubt, frustration or loneliness sets in, reach out to a friend and see if you can meet up face-to-face or at least talk on the phone. The comfort of knowing you’re not alone sometimes will lighten the load and help you refocus. My tribe has shown up for me time and time again and that reminder makes me smile. 🙂
