Country music’s rising star Tanner Adell is making waves, blending traditional country sounds with a fresh, modern twist that’s capturing audiences worldwide. I had the chance to sit down with her at the House of Blues Houston for a night with Crown Royal, and let me tell you—this conversation was as real as it gets. From her journey to viral fame to reconnecting with her birth family, Tanner shared her heart, her humor, and a few special moments with her adorable dogs (yes, they totally made themselves at home!).

From Viral Clips to Country Charts

If you’ve been on social media lately, chances are you’ve seen Tanner Adell’s name pop up. Her breakout hit Buckle Bunny had people hitting follow in seconds (myself included). The catchy hooks, unapologetic confidence, and clever visuals—like her remixes in front of different gas stations—made her impossible to ignore. But as she told me, going viral didn’t come without its challenges.

“Social media can be so overwhelming sometimes. I just had to turn off that fear of being cringe and go after what I wanted,” she shared. And that risk? It’s paying off. Her personality shines through every post, and fans can’t get enough.

Adoption, Family, and Finding Herself Through Music

Beyond the glitz of the stage and social media fame, Tanner’s story runs deep. She was adopted and grew up between Wyoming and California before landing in Tennessee, where she’s now carving out her place in the country music scene.

We bonded over our shared experience of being adopted, something that has shaped her in ways she’s still discovering.

“My birth family found me a couple of years ago, and it turns out music is totally in my blood,” she revealed. “My birth dad was a rapper in Atlanta in the ‘90s, my brother shreds on the guitar—it’s wild to see the connections.”

She also opened up about the emotional weight of adoption. “There’s always that feeling of ‘why was I given away?’ but I think it’s made me a better writer. I have a lot to say.”

Whiskey, Stages, and What’s Next

Tanner’s passion for music is undeniable, and so is her love for a good drink. Crown Royal, the sponsor of the night, has a special place in her heart—and not just because of the event.

“It’s so funny—before I even met my birth dad, Crown was already my go-to whiskey. Turns out, it was his favorite too. It runs in the family, I guess!”

As for what’s next? She’s got an album in the works featuring deeply personal tracks, including Homesick, a song about longing for family and home. With her raw talent and fearless approach, there’s no doubt that Tanner Adell is only getting started.
