Life can be challenging. Sometimes we don’t know how we’re going to pay this bill or you find it particularly hard to push through that final rep in the gym, but one thing is for sure giving up won’t fix any of your problems. Rapper Calloway’s latest release “Ball” is that extra push you need to get through your latest challenge.

“Ball”, released July 26, features a hard Hip-Hop beat and paced cadence forces you to digest every single word. In this banger, Calloway is almost taunting listeners to level up their hustle. He’s saying stunting for the ‘gram is pointless. What’s really gangsta is taking care of your loved ones. Check on your mama. Check on your real friends. Avoid finding your value in clout chasing– all it does is create envy and jealousy which makes you a target.

Calloway wants to listeners to know that trapping is not the only way to make money. “Get a 9 to 5. N*gga that shit alright,” he says in the second verse. Easy money may look cool, but there are very real consequences like jail or death. The St. Louis-born rapper knows from first-hand experience, as he too was once incarcerated.

You can hear him share more of his remarkable story in a recent interview here.

“Ball” is the song you play on repeat to remind yourself no matter how hard things get, keep getting to the bag.
