What are you willing to sacrifice to make your dreams come true? Would you move to another country completely alone?

Toronto-based Radio Personality Alicia “Ace” West did just that after deciding in High School that she wanted to be a media personality.

In college, she picked up a major in Graphic Design and later held down jobs in advertising and marketing, but her greatest blessing came from being let go.

“Ace” used that disappointment as motivation to go hard for her dreams and figured out how to land her first internship in radio at WPGC 95.5 FM in Washington, D.C. (She credits morning show co-host @sunniandthecity for guidance 😉)

Overcoming the obstacle of securing a work visa multiple times, Ace studied, networked and hustled in the United States for two years before landing her first full-time radio show in her hometown at @935themove!

While I know A LOT of amazing media personalities, I believe Ace has a unique story that will encourage those of us who aren’t teenagers trying to break into the game. Ace is representative of what happens when you develop a positive mindset…. doors open and the impossible becomes tangible.
