Every strategy must have a measurable goal and a content strategy is no different.
It may be useful to write out a sentence that fully encompasses the goal of your content marketing strategy.
Is your goal to:
- attract your niche?
- retain your current customers?
- acquire new customers?
- drive more traffic to your landing page?
- increase sales?
Remember to also write what your audience will gain from your content. What’s in it for them?
In order to know when your goal has been met, it must be measurable. For example, if your goal is to drive more traffic to your landing page, you can measure this with Google Analytics.
Your goal should also be time-bound. This means that your goal should have a target date.
