There’s nothing wrong with treating your wardrobe every now and then to something fancy. Yes I have talked about shopping on a budget but when it comes to certain items I do believe we can splurge.  This is where quality is important. To have a killer wardrobe “balance” is key and when you invest in certain pieces you won’t end up rebuying or spending more in the long run. I’m going to share with you my top 5 items that i think you should invest in!

JEANS

First on my list are jeans. Jeans are the easiest and cheapest designer items to get your hands on. The perks are you can always find them on sale and the quality of them will last you a lifetime. I love investing in designer jeans because they just fit so well and I don’t worry about them falling apart on me. I can definitely tell the difference between a good pair of designer jeans and your forever 21 pair. A few of my favorite brands are 7 for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Joes Jeans and JBrand just to name a few.

SLG’S/ JEWELRY

Next on my list are small accessories or jewelry. Depending on what brand and what item these could range from 50 to 400. My favorites are Earrings, Watches, Brooches, Scarfs, and or card holders/small leather goods. These items add a subtle detail that can complete any look. If accessorized right you can turn a 20 dollar outfit into looking like a million bucks. These are my favorites to shop for because there is so much variety and you can always find something in your price point. I am a sucker for watches! I have about 6 right now in my collection. Next on my list are a few small goods and a card holder I see coming really soon!

BELTS

My most recent obsession has been belts! Seeing them all over the blog world has made me realize this item is a definite must have. Plus the price point isn’t that bad either! The one I have had my eye on from Gucci has been sold out for months but the stalker I am I will get my hands on it soon! I love thrifting for basics, so I could just envision a white turtleneck with a coat just draped over my shoulders a statement belt( Gucci Please) and over the knee boots talk about chic. I’m the type of girl that feels its ok to mix and match. You don’t have to be a walking label and its ok to wear something that cost 5 dollars too its all about balance.

CLUTCHES

Next on my list would have to be Clutches. These are a great alternative to have a designer bag without paying in the thousands for one. A lot of luxury brands offer clutches and small bags for fractions of the price. My first clutch was from louis Vuitton and I love that bag. Its the perfect size so it fits all my essentials and gives my outfits a more expensive touch.

SUNGLASSES

Last but not least I want to mention sunglasses. I couldn’t have a top 5 without adding them to the list. I love adding a nice pair of shades to my look. Once again they don’t break the bank which the whole goal here but add a touch of luxe to your vibe. Subtle hints of designer items in my opinion make your outfit look put together. It’s not all about wearing every brand you own head to toe but little pieces to amp it up.

Trust me its not impossible to have some of the higher priced items you want! I live by two rules. A. Buy it on sale or B Save until I can buy. I don’t let the price discourage me! There’s nothing wrong with putting a little something aside until you can get what you want. But hopefully these starter items will satisfy your craving until then!
