Miguel Kaleidoscope Dream Listening Party
TheBobbyPen.com had the special opportunity to attend DC singer Raheem DeVaughn’s listening party and meet & greet for Miguel’s forthcoming sophomore album “Kaleidoscope Dreams.”Miguel told the crowd gathered in the Love Life Soundstage that he set out to make sure this album was classic R&B.
He played four tracks straight from his iPhone and danced and sang along, clearly showing his pride in his work. The passion in his eyes can be felt through his bubbly and high-energy personality, laughing and and playing around with Raheem and audience members.
Rahmeem DeVaughn also got Miguel to open up about his love life by asking him about the woman saved as the wallpaper on his phone. Raheem asked Miguel, “Every time you lift your phone I peek over your shoulder to see who that beautiful woman is. Is that your girl?” Miguel began blushing instantaneously and couldn’t resit the urge to profess his love for her.
Female audience member Sunni in the City of WPGC and friend co-signed Miguel’s declarations of Model Nazanin Mandi’s beauty inside and out by yelling out, “Oh yeah! She’s bad!” Miguel could only laugh and tell us how the two of them have been friends for six years and how she was there for him before the success. Everyone said “aww” and then moved on knowing that the heart of the silky smooth singer was already spoken for.
Miguel also shared which artists he’s most influenced by. Among the list was Prince, Alicia Keys and Marvin Gay. To the right of the stage, Painter Demont Peekaso rendered the singer in vibrant colors based on an image on his iPad.
