Snoop Dogg Son Cordell Broadus is a Young OG; Get The Mind of The Mogul in the Making

Imagine growing up with a father who’s arguably the most recognizable figure in Hip-Hop. I mean, a Pop Culture Icon the world over. Do you think you would feel pressured to be just like “Snoop Dogg” or would you forge your own path?

Get into the mind of Cordell Broadus as host Bobby Pen sits with him at the Polaris ALL OUT ADVENTURE in the video above.

The seemingly well-adjusted 22-year-old shares gems of wisdom from real estate to filmmaking.

Bet you didn’t know Karruehce helped him become one of fashion’s newest faces! We know he played college football for UCLA before pivoting to modeling, but it’s interesting to learn that he never really saw himself “like that,” he shared in this candid discussion.

Cordell shares how embarrassed he was to “only” make $1500 his first year as a commercial model. The best part is how he handled the disappointment.

Where most people would’ve given up on the vision after rejection, he instead created his own opportunities by partnering with stylists and photographers to create his own photoshoots. Ultimately, he’d catch the eye of a clothing brand who brought him on to intern as Creative Director.

This experience, he says, helped him land more modeling work because he brought a new approach from behind the lens to out in front.

When asked if he’d ever follow in his dad. Snoop Dogg’s footsteps to pursue music, he said: “I could never walk in his footsteps because I wear a size 12 1/2 and he wears a 12.”

Seriously, he believes that our ancestors set the stage for us to evolve into our highest spiritual selves, so he looks to his grandfathers and great-grandfather for guidance. He says his father got his business acumen from his grandfather and he’ll pass how down to his kids.

While music isn’t Cordell’s “thing,” he has always wanted to be an actor like his dad.

He plans to approach film similar to how he carved his space in fashion: do it yourself!

Cordell says he plans to direct his own action-packed stories where he and his friends can fight and “fck nggas up.”

Personally, I hope to see this vision come to life, so let’s send up a prayer to the action movie gawds that this comes to past.

Remember that epic flying drop kick we saw Snoop Dogg do on The ‘Gram? What if that was on the big screen?!

Aside from all the creative outlets, the young mogul also has his hands in real estate with properties in Atlanta and Mississippi.

He looks to add New Jersey and other cities on the East Coast to his portfolio, but be patient with him since he’s “really just starting out. A lot of trial and error,” he said modestly.
