Ty Dolla $ign, Raheem DeVaughn & Kitchen Cray Take Healthy Eating to DC High School [PHOTOS]
On Tuesday (Sept. 15) Dunbar High School students were surprised by special visitors. Singer/songwriter and three-time Grammy nominee, Raheem DeVaughn, brought along with him a couple of his friends to push the #BlackLivesMatter agenda in a unique way on behalf of his community organization LoveLife Foundation.
With the help of the Staff at Dunbar High School and Guerilla Arts, Atlantic Records artist Ty Dolla $ign and Chef James “JR” Robinson of Kitchen Cray joined DeVaughn to talk to DC Public School Students (who are already excelling early in the school year with great grades and perfect attendance), about eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle.
Fox5 TV’s Celebrity Chef from Hell’s Kitchen Season 13 and renowned Chef Robinson provided a hands on a cooking demonstration, tasting and talk about snacking, eating healthy and getting the right nutrition.
Out of his genuine concern for the community, Raheem founded the LoveLife Foundation in April 2014. With an emphasis on education, youth, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, mental illness, autism, cancer, music, and the arts, this 501(c)(3) non-profit enables him to embrace the causes closest to his heart.
On the heels of releasing his debut album, “Free TC,” Ty Dolla $ign recently lost a significant amount of weight, has gained a six pack and has adopted a healthy lifestyle to maintain his new physique.
In an effort to share his story and hopefully encourage his fans and peers, Ty opened up about his journey with the students and encouraged them to take care of themselves at an early age to adopt a healthy lifestyle for LIFE.
