How did you get started, and how did you get to where you are today?

Chandra has worked with entrepreneurs to help them create foundations for success through her boutique consulting and public relations firm, Chandra Gore Consulting. Quietly making strides with placements for small businesses, entertainment, authors, therapists and motivational speaking clients on local and national news outlets she has been leaving her mark as a publicist in the industry.

She also heads a production company, SCM Productions, which produces live comedic events and an upcoming Comedy Series, “They Said What?!”, that will be launched strictly on Amazon. Hosting her successful inaugural comedy festival – Greater Northern Virginia Comedy and Film Festival in 2019 – she has anchored herself as a women to watch in comedy.

She is an author of several books, moderator, and speaker on topics such as Business Strategies, Media Relations, and Entrepreneurship. Launching Conversations with Chan – her personal brand that includes a podcast, YouTube channel, and publication on Medium.com.

Challenges and Obstacles

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of your struggles along the way?

The road has not been smooth at all. I struggled with the fear of failure. Working hard to generate capital needed to produce comedic events and to also proving myself as a business consultant that could guide businesses to success. As a publicist the struggle was a tad different – as a measurable but intangible service – public relations was something caused me to expand my skill set and to confront the fear of not being successful head on.

As a publicist I take a clients story, goals and dreams and create the narrative that gets you noticed and booked. No story no pitch. As a business consultant I assist in the creation of a foundation and formulate a concise strategic plan for success. I am able to streamline your processes to make it profitable, keep your timeline on track and up to date and align you with opportunities that are best for your brand. I am most proud of the fact that I have the ability to foresee what path a business should travel to be successful. What sets me apart is that I am passionate about my business and the businesses I work with.
