R&B songstress Chrisette Michele hand-picked DC’s brightest bloggers, social media influencers and vloggers to enjoy a curated evening of networking and marketing info with the Pose ‘N Post Symposium.

Chrisette_Michele_Pose_N_Post_Symposium_thebobbypenChrisette Michele created a non-judgemental inviting environment where women entrepreneurs came together to discuss and listen to  success stories from other online brands.

Pose N’ Post panelists included Brosia Malbrough, Lover4_Fashion and Courtney Adeleye of The Mane Choice to share their incredible climb up the social media ladder and their ideas on fashion, hair and everything feminine.

Topics ranged from Natural Hair in the Work Environment, Selfie Class and App Editing 101, YouTube growth success and Building a Positive Social Media Community.

I asked a question about ghost followers and how to boost user engagement, and got the tip from Chrisette and Brosia to “focus on quality over quantity” when it comes to follower count. Something I take heed to.

With a ticket price of $90, a portion of ticket sales will go to 8 book and wardrobe scholarships for young women beginning their college journey.
