Haute Couture Week 2018 Trend Report [PHOTOS]
Fashion Month is upon us! NYFW is approaching but we can’t forget about HAUTE COUTURE week in Paris last week. The designers really showed out this season.
Haute Couture week showcases Evening wear beforE Ready-to-Wear collections in the following weeks. Every collection told a different story and it was amazing to see their designs come to life on the runway!
From Chanel, Givenchy to Viktor & Rolf we saw it all. Here are the designers who stood out to me the most.
GIVENCHY
Givenchy’s Collection this season spoke to the modern women, who doesn’t take fashion so traditional when it comes to evening wear.
Waight Keller used a lot of clean lines and V shape tailoring with her pieces. The Masculine meets Feminine trend spoke volumes. One-third of the collection was black, but the pops of color and textures used gave each piece that wow factor. This was definitely in my top 3 picks because its one of my favorite trends. It conveys sexy without being revealing. Sexy isn’t in the clothes you wear but how you wear them. Read more from the designer’s point of view in Vogue.

A F VANDERVORST
A F Vandervorsts collection was outstanding. They shocked us all by reintegrated one piece from all there collections from the past 20 years. Within that time they have had 40 collections! I loved this approach to the runway. It not only speaks volumes in the fashion world but to the everyday women. I always talk about re-styling and utilizing pieces in your wardrobe more than once and they effortless executed that. With that being said everything worked together giving a very military equestrian-feel to their looks. They made each piece feel so fresh and new! Don’t be a afraid to go to the back of your closet and remix your pieces, you just may fall in love all over again. Find out more about this designer in Vogue.
VALENTINO
Valentino does it again! This collection was so much fun. Taking a playful approach with evening wear they used a lot of oversized pieces, clashing colors and texture. These were not your typical evening wear looks by far, but that’s what I loved about it. The bows ad ruffles were placed perfectly which gave charter to the pieces. The oversized trend is still going strong and it was refreshing to see it used in elegant pieces instead of sportswear which we have seen all over these days. I enjoyed this collection because it shows us its ok to take risks in fashion. Color block, be bold, be trendy and have fun that’s what it’s all about! Read more from the designer on Vogue.
