R&B Singer Fantasia Empowers North Carolina’s Teen Girls with Urban Skin Solutions Private Event [PHOTOS]

Singer and actress Fantasia joined forces with skin care company Urban Skin RX to host their first ever “No Shade Empowerment” event in her hometown of North Carolina, where the medspa Urban Skin Solutions is owned by Melanin Expert, Rachel Roff. This year’s event focused on self-esteem, empowerment and the importance of fostering positive relationships with the theme: No shade, but #MyShade is Confidence!

The private event supported Urban Skin RX’s recently launched “No Shade” empowerment social media campaign which hopes to re-define the definition of beauty and celebrate all women.

The company’s founder, Rachel Roff, shared her excitement for the successful event:

We were thrilled to team up with Fantasia and The Girl Talk Foundation to spread the positive message of leadership and confidence in teenage girls socially, emotionally and physically in order to celebrate diversity and individuality.

Non-profit organization The Girl Talk Foundation, Inc., which empowers girls to become civilly engaged and community-oriented citizens. Girls who attended this year’s event received a free skin analysis, a hands-on skin care tutorial and swag bags filled with Urban Skin RX’s must-have products for teens. Following the empowerment celebration, girls were part of an exclusive photo session with Fantasia and Rachel shot by professional photographer James Anthony.
