4:44 Artist New EP Project
How did you get started, and how did you get to where you are today?
At the gentle age of 16, Jordan aka Jimani Luv had no idea that talent would lead her to the recent project entitled 4:44. It all started the day when she ran downstairs singing one of her favorite songs. This caught the attention of her brother, now manager and song writer, Money.James. Soon after he heard her true talent, Money.James had Jimani in the studio. Following many long nights and different studio sessions her first two singles “All I Need” and “Candy” were finally ready for release and distribution. Following her first two singles Jimani had a new passion and focus to tell her through her music. This lead to her writing one of her popular singles to date entitled “Problems”.
As everyone knows we all go through ups and downs in our relationships. Jimani wanted to use her musical ability and talent to project that in her song. Making sure that all her songs followed a specific story line her manager Money.James decided to drop Problems first. This decision turned out to be spot on as “Problems” really gained traction hitting 2,500 the first week as an unknown artist. Jimani and Money. James using their creativity dropped a collaboration of theme songs entitled “ The Mash Up” which took her streams and downloads to a new level. As a team team we realized that now was the time to work on and drop an EP. 4:44 dropped on May 28th and is now available on all major platforms.
Challenges and Obstacles
Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of your struggles along the way?
It has been a pretty smooth road to this point, however, dealing with COVID-19 as an independent and unsigned artist has very much been a test. Being a new artist you have that desire to want to display your talent and artistry to world through performance which was taken from all of us during the pandemic. My team really had to pivot and be creative to keep up the creativity and keep me relevant to my audience.
